Buying
a home in Leesburg VA these days is no small matter. Besides being the
largest financial transaction you may ever
undertake, it’s probably also the most
complex. The economy seems up one day and
down the next, and it is important to work
with a Leesburg VA buyers agent that is
experienced and represents your needs, not
the sellers! There are many good reasons to work
with a qualified Leesburg VA real estate
professional—especially one that is
experienced and trained
professional who has earned the Accredited
Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) designation,
representing best-in-class buyer services.
Look for an Leesburg VA Accredited Buyers
Agent ABR® before you look
for a home, you’ll be served, not sold. Your
interests come first and you’ll
be working with someone who has gone the
extra mile by completing specialized
training in delivering the best in
buyer-representation services. Also, a
REALTOR® who has an ABR® Designation also
has an established track record, with proven
experience in representing the concerns of
homebuyers.
What Is REBAC?
The ABR® Designation is awarded through the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council, or REBAC, which was founded in 1988 to promote superior buyer-representation skills and services. REBAC is an affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
REBAC
focuses on buyer representation. While it is now a
broadly-accepted, mainstream business model in real
estate circles, it’s sometimes easy to forget that it
wasn’t always so—and how quickly the shift occurred.
Within the
National Association of REALTORS®
(NAR), buyer representation officially took
hold in November 1996, when NAR acquired the
then-independent Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC),
giving full support to a trend that had been gaining
momentum throughout the 1980s.
Now, ten years later, REBAC has enjoyed exponential growth and is the largest of NAR’s Institutes, Societies, and Councils. Numbering more than 50,000, active REBAC members span the globe, with nearly three quarters holding their Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) or Accredited Buyer’s Representative Manager (ABRMSM) designations.
REBAC’s course provider network—the many real estate associations and schools that offer REBAC courses—is equally or even more impressive, encompassing and extending well beyond the U.S. More than 136,000 real estate professionals have participated in REBAC-sponsored education.
